Endless Pool Deep Area

The Endless Pool's unique design permits custom depths
of up to 72". We refer to these custom depths as
"deep areas" because most customers deepen
only a section of the pool floor, leaving the remainder
at the standard 39" water depth. This arrangement
permits swimmers to use the "shallow" area
of the pool as a step. It also provides a built-in safety
feature, since the current automatically pushes users
from deep to shallow water.
Deep-area pools can be created by breaking through
an existing concrete slab or by pouring two levels of
concrete, one for the bottom of the deep area and one
for the floor that supports the steel walls and benches made from the highest quality thermoformed acrylic (available in two colors).
Deep-area pools are appropriate for customers
who prefer:
- Vertically-oriented aquatic therapy
- Water walking
- Running in water supported by a wet vest
- Aqua and step aerobics in chest or shoulder-height
water
Configurations #6, #7, and #8 are
most frequently selected by customers installing deep-area
pools. Note that with these three configurations, very
little excavation is required to enjoy a deep-water
pool.
Configurations #9 and #10 are
a little more complicated and usually require new construction
because concrete has to be poured at three levels: the
bottom of the deep area, the shelf for the benches and
wall panels, and the surrounding floor.
#9:
Partially in-ground pool requiring excavation.

 |
| #10:
Fully in-ground pool requiring excavation. |
 |
Configuration #11 creates an excavation-free
deep area by raising the pool's outer edges with a platform.
For every additional inch of water depth over the standard
39", the pool walls must be raised accordingly.
For example, an 8" platform made of plywood or
concrete block provides 47" of water depth in the
pool's middle.
#11:
Above-ground pool with custom deep area, built
on a flat slab using a raised platform around
the edges. The platform can vary up to a maximum
of 12 inches. If you are interested in using this
method, please contact Endless Pools, In. for details.
