Standard-Depth Endless Pool

The standard Endless Pool water depth of 39 inches accommodates the following activities:

  • Swimming, all strokes and techniques
  • Water exercises while standing or kneeling on the pool floor
  • Relaxing or aqua aerobics on our underwater benches

Configurations #1, #2 and #3 illustrate the Standard Endless Pool installed upon the existing floor of a basement, garage, porch or patio. As you will see, excavation is not needed to give an Endless Pool an in-ground or partially in-ground appearance. A simple alternative is to raise the floor or deck around the sides of the pool.

#1: Above-ground pool with 42-inch wall fully exposed.
Endless Pool Partially In-Ground #2: Partially in-ground pool using raised decking. A floor or deck has been constructed which makes the pool appear recessed
Endless Pool In-Ground #3: Fully in-ground pool created by decking raised to top of pool panels. Again, the floor or deck gives the pool a recessed feel.

Configurations #4 and #5 illustrate a standard flat-bottom pool partially lowered into the ground or all the way to make the top of the pool flush with the walking surface. These two configurations are accomplished by pouring concrete at two levels -- appropriate to sites featuring new construction -- or by breaking through an existing concrete slab.

Endless Pool Partially In-Ground #4: Partially in-ground pool requiring excavation.
Endless Pool In-Ground #5: Fully in-ground pool requiring excavation.

Our customers tell us that while the flush mount in configurations #3 and #5 may be more pleasing aesthetically, they are less practical than configurations #2 and #4, which provide a seat and a handhold on all four sides of the pool.

Be sure to check out our House Tour for more videos of the different configurations and Gallery of Pools for actual photos if you have not seen it yet.
